Peter Hanseler was invited to the input event on March 22 and spoke about Russia, the background to the Ukraine conflict and BRICS.

Introduction

The InputEvent, which took place on March 22, 2024 in Zurich-Kloten, was under the title “Russia/Switzerland/Neutrality”. The speakers were Russian Ambassador Sergei V. Garmonin (“Swiss neutrality”), top Swiss diplomat Jean-Daniel Ruch (“The position of Swiss diplomacy”) and Peter Hanseler (“The view of the Russian-Swiss”).

It was a challenge for me to give a brief outline of the understanding of Russia, the background to the Ukraine conflict and BRICS as a tectonic shift in geopolitics in the limited time available to me.
